I’m open to anything at this point.... right now I’m rocking some sweet seat covers! The seats will need a total rebuild; I’ll have to talk with an upholstery guy...

Yeah, no claim to youth here.  Add up the age of both my e30s and I still win with some room to spare. I've already got the pdf version of the Bentley but I like having the paper copies and printouts of forum DIYs in hand. Both tactile in the ability to work through and check off the steps and easier to reference than scrolling through screens / using keys with crud-covered nitrile gloves.  That said, when confusion hits I'm back on the computer for clearer pictures, forum web searches or on the phone for reality-check texts to m42b32, snap, straight6pwr, etc.

Thanks again to HipMF for digging through his parts stash to find this. Added a little paint to it, installed, and everything's now sitting where it's supposed to be. [image: IMG\_2335.JPG]

Making some suspension changes to the E30 race car for 2019, going to coilovers. One option is that SPEC E30 is in transition from the old H&R race springs to new GC/Eibach coilover kit with collars and 525/700 springs. New kit still uses the required Bilstein sports. No need to shorten the strut tubes just remove the lower spring perch, install the GC collars and go. But since I'm running ITS with Midwestern Council these days instead of SE30 I've got more flexibility with coilover setups and shocks than the new kit.  Before I start looking at options that require shortening (cutting and rewelding) my front strut tubes, such as running revalved Konis, I was wondering if anyone has a set of e30 strut tubes (late model 51mm) already shortened sitting in their shop gathering dust?

I've contacted this dude about a month ago.  According to him, there's a fair amount of rust.

Ask for better pictures of the lower black part that is closest to the rockers (typically the worst rust spot) and pictures of the inner sides of all four before you drive down. Also try to get a sense of the seller's price range. Fenders can be priced from $75 -$150+ each

Found a nice spreadsheet with lots of good data on Bosch injectors. Still reading and learning, but as far as I can tell these are the best injector for a mildly boosted M42 that Bosch has ever made. Plug-and-play. As you've probably guessed though, they aren't especially cheap. Ask your friends; maybe they have some used ones sitting on the shelf that they're sick of looking at.
