Great Lakes Sports Car Club and the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs are hosting a series of events at the Milwaukee Mile at State Fair Park  in West Allis on August 23-25. All events using the infield and oval course.  Event information is on Motorsportreg.com, or contact me and I can send you an info packet. Friday,  August 23: HPDE and Track Day: 9am -5 pm.  Currently planning five run groups (novice, int, advanced, competition license, open wheel race cars) but will adjust depending on turn out.  Each group with a minimum of three 20 minute sessions.  Cost $165 Saturday: August 24: test and tune sessions in morning, High Speed Autocross in afternoon  ($150 members, $175 nonmembers).  Early evening 2.5 hour enduro Sunday August 25: Wheel-to-Wheel 30 minute Sprint Races. Comp licensed drivers only. Practice and qualifying in morning, races in the afternoon.  I should be here if I get an oil leak sorted out. Track entry: before 9am enter through gate on east side (back straight) After 9am guest enter through tunnel on west side of track. Registration is in the media center in the infield No charge for crew/guests (hint say you are a guest). Free parking in the paddock area.

So.....anyone know the guy?  Pretty local to me.  Still a neat project.

Has really grown.  I didn't manage to get there at all last year.  I just got back from there this morning and it must be three times the size it was last time I was there. Kind of a limited BMW turn out.  Very few older cars.  Two E30s (one wagon), one same generation 5 series, and two E36s (one mine).  Nothing older that I saw. I wish I was going but I have prior commitments this weekend.  Being there in the rain is some of the best memories I have!  Have fun!

B C said: Sunday I was going to go out and run around Holy Hill but there appears to be a lot of construction going on. More-so than the last time we were out there. As lame as the roads are around New Berlin/Muskego/West Allis, I was planning to take the long way to the Badger Bimmers car show  Saturday the 29th.  It would in no-wise be anything close to an amazing drive but it would be a little extra road time with bimmer buddies.  A more elaborate route to RA sounds good to me The only thing under construction that's intrusive to my normal route is that Hwy 164 is closed. All you need to do is take Hubertus east to Hillside Dr. and then north to 167 west back over to 164 north. It's a short detour.  That said, good news is there is active construction around Hubertus West / Monches / St. Augustine as they are finally acknowledging those roads are.........literally impossible to drive on for anything short of a military grade humvee, and even then I don't think it could exceed 5 mph without blowing tires on potholes and causing herniated discs in the backs of anyone unfortunate enough to be along for the ride.

I have to say, turnout was even greater than expected! Great to see familiar and new faces alike. Perfect weather and an amazing variety of cars. Big thanks to everyone that attended and so nice to see such great enthusiasm for not only e30s but BMW's in general. Here's to next year!

Check around the paddock and maybe have them make an announcement over the PA of what you need. There are a few e36 folks up at RA watching today.

@i_love_cars. @wasnt m3 and I had a good chat for about 2 hours. TJ was the overachiever for the day and ended up at the Layton ave Portillos by mistake and got to Brookfield in absolute record time. I think it only took him 15 minutes
