It's too bad they can't make an N/A engine worth a darn. Even the turbo engines are problematic. Then again, I am an N/A snob. I did see someone with a standard Impreza (2010) and a large muffler+exhaust system. It sounded like any old 4 cyl with an exhaust, not like a WRX or STI with that burble. I bet they were pretty pissed off when they dropped a pretty dime on the exhaust and it didnt sound cool [image: :P] . They should have read up on equal vs. unequal length headers. I am still waiting for more pics from the meet. I want to see myself looking awkward in the background of pictures that I wasn't aware of.

Hi, Just throwing its out there for anyone that might be interested. I am the new president of the local club up here in the Fox Valley and figured that I should throw it out there. Date: 4/17/11 Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. = Registration and Tech inspection 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. = Course walk thru 10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. = Driver's Meeting 11:00 a.m. - Timed runs This goes until everything is done. Once the final times are figured, we award trophies afterwords. What you'll need: Car - must be able to pass tech. - battery must be tied down - Suspension must be well maintained. No clunks or raddles - Brake pedal must be firm Helmet - DOT minimum requirement Money - $25 for members - $35 for non-members - $45 for people that would like to join the club. Registration is $210 for the event. You'll also need a closed face SNELL SA 2000 or newer helmet. Although rare, offtrack incidents can happen so it's a good idea to also get some track insurance to cover damage to your car. I use Lockton Infinity for the e30 (you set the value for your car and mods) and this runs me about $90 for the day. Total sounds steep if you've never done this before but figure that the $300 total works out to $3/minute of track time. Autocross at Miller Park factors out to about $6+/minute with a lot of down time. Different addictions and both are a blast.
