RIP the lifted and slammed M21 dream. This car has certainly been on quite the journey. From the gravel drive way of somewhere in the middle of no where in Shawno, to lifted diesel swap, to sold to Russian's in Washington. ben pls

straight6pwr said: glad to hear the deal went through! whats next? i feel like an e31 is up your alley. I would LOVE to find one. But I am trying to stay away from getting more cars that I plan to "keep."  This one was totally worth keeping, but I didn't really have a use for it and it was a distraction from other projects( E30) that I wanted to focus on. If I did happen to find a new keeper at this point, its likely to be a wagon.

Got the brackets for the BBK back from the powdercoater today, they look great! [image: IMG\_20191204\_164247.jpg][image: IMG\_20191215\_144955.jpg] Currently nothing has really changed about the car, Im still getting some parts here and there so I am kinda waiting to have all my ducks in a row before I really tear into it. But soon it will be time to start the project, and I will be uploading some videos to my youtube channel on the process in case anyone is interested.

your subframe color gave me a serious flashback to my favorite game of all time from the 90s - Gizmos and Gadgets you'd solve puzzles about 'simple machines' with color-coded diagrams like such: (the green handles were a 'lever', etc) [image: maxresdefault.jpg]

Rekpoint said: Dibs on the shell  I’ll be messaging you. If anyone is interested in a refreshed S52, clutch/pressure plate/flywheel, csf radiator, spal fan, etc. let me know. Trans, driveshaft, diff might be accounted for. But the plan is to get it running first. Clutch works, exhaust is done. Then possibly sell it as a running/driving car. Obviously I would love to keep both cars, but 1) I don't have the space. I could leave one outside over winter, but would prefer not to do that(I might end up having to leave the calypso if I don't sell it before then) and 2) the money I would get from selling it would be really nice to have. Could pay off the remainder of my student loans/put some money into the red car.  [image: B98A13C2-D75A-4074-8D41-A1805E9BD6EA.jpeg]

I remember when you drove this to Quaker Steak in New Berlin for one of the meets long time ago. I feel the pain on the project priorities but it's time will come.

YoungCR said: Hows the shifter play? Its probably due for a rebuild as well. The E60 545i shifter is a OEM short shift upgrade, my brother's E34 has that along with delrin bushings.  Shifter bushings have been replaced and it had a dinan short throw. So it's good. Definitely the trans dyncros

We bought a house in June and are moved in.  I will post some pics soon.  I need to bring the van over still.  It acquired a bees nest behind the front bumper so I guess that is a sign I haven't been working on it. I bought a used but not very old 10k asymmetrical Rotary lift from a friend that was closing down his shop.  I need to drill a test hole in my garage floor to check for thickness before I figure out a plan for installation.  If the floor isn't thick enough I will add a "shop" stall to the end of the garage with a higher ceiling to accommodate the full lift height.  The existing part is 9'6" so it would still get quite a bit of height for cars but not so much for vans and trucks.  The existing garage is 26' deep by 32' wide.  It has a centered 16' door which is odd but it works.  The lift bay would have to be angled some to work with that.

What do you know about the cars past ? well aside the the 1000 other projects,I had short time to pluck away some at the e30 started pulling them diving boards off and getting a good feel of the over all car meticulously finding the weak spots I’ll have to fix down the road like battery location rust exc ,the rest of underside looks darn good to me ,realigned the hood up again., I think this car is worth restoring if it takes me 10 years every bit and bolt.. for now I’ll have a little fun along the way, so I found some cheap evo bumpers I am goin to fix up and custom fit for now for fun while I am on down time from building garage, I’d like to ditch the Sylvania headlights for some hella bmw lights to if anyone has any insights or extras ...and these extra long tube headers omg ..I’ve had my eyes on these for years,I know there worth every penny ,I bet the sound is amazing  [image: 973C1D32-E99C-446F-A5CF-29C2E52B9892.jpeg] [image: 553783A9-3BF9-4277-8A65-72755A2C545C.jpeg] [image: 026BD1BA-0ED7-41A2-A9F5-FB2BC5E6C928.jpeg] [image: 507BF231-3A5A-43DB-A36E-3DAB017536EE.jpeg] [image: 22791940-09C9-4FE2-BF61-D441CED10A16.jpeg] [image: 100AAA8B-9B06-433F-B96B-8700017389B0.png] [image: BB800AA7-CA19-4ADA-AD84-63EFF733DD9A.jpeg] [image: 0358D060-8A7F-456B-A33C-69ACAD90AFA0.jpeg]
